Aloe Vera is a plant with just leaves and no stems. It grows between 2 to 3 feet tall. As it grows the leaves become thick with a green exterior. Inside the leaves is a juicy interior.

Is Aloe item toxic?

Yes. Aloes contain anthraquinone glycosides and related compounds that irritate the gut. Ingestion can cause vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, and worse in rabbits, guinea pigs, and chinchillas.

Should I feed my pet Aloe?

No. Do not feed aloe leaves or gel to rabbits, guinea pigs, or chinchillas.

How much can I feed them?

Do not offer as food. If your pet ate aloe, contact your veterinarian or a pet poison hotline right away.
