A small genus of two species that have flowering bulbs, the Amaryllis belladonna is the more commonly known species of the two. The better known of the two is native to the Western Cape region of South Africa.

For Your Pet: The bulbs of this plant are toxic to all animals, therefore, they should not be fed to your rabbit, guinea pig, or chinchilla at any point in time.

Warning: Feeding your pet this could cause serious damage and can even result in death.
