Is Blueberries item toxic?

Not a classic toxin, but fruit sugar and sudden portions can cause soft stool, gas, or appetite changes in rabbits, guinea pigs, and chinchillas. Wash produce and introduce new foods slowly.

Should I feed my pet Blueberries?

Only rarely, as a tiny treat. Fruit should never replace hay, leafy greens, and species-appropriate pellets.

How much can I feed them?

Offer about one or two small blueberries on occasion, plain and unsweetened. If stool softens, gas increases, or your pet stops eating hay, stop fruit and contact your veterinarian.
