Often Mistaken For

Is Cardboard item toxic?

Plain, clean, ink-free cardboard is not a classic toxin, but it is not food. Swallowed chunks can form blockages. Tape, glue, dyes, and glossy prints add real risk—avoid those entirely.

Should I feed my pet Cardboard?

Not as a meal. Plain cardboard may be okay as a supervised chew toy if it is clean, unprinted, and your pet shreds small bits instead of swallowing wads.

How much can I feed them?

Keep it occasional. If your pet swallowed a large wad, tape, or glue—or stops eating or pooping—call your veterinarian right away.
