The Crown of Thorns plant, also known as Christ plant or Christ Thorn, is native to Madagascar. It has a large stem with small red or pink two-petalled flowers, and large teardrop shaped leaves.
For Your Pet: All parts of Crown of Thorns are poisonous. Horses, cattle, pets, and humans are affected and will experience severe pain and swelling of the mouth, and gastrointestinal issues like severe diarrhea leading to dehydration.
