Often Mistaken For

Is Dandelion item toxic?

Not a classic toxin in a small serving from clean, pesticide-free plants, but dandelion is rich and can cause soft stool or gas when overfed. Avoid plants from sprayed lawns, roadsides, or unknown yards.

Should I feed my pet Dandelion?

Sometimes, for many rabbits, guinea pigs, and chinchillas—only clean, unsprayed greens and flowers, as an occasional add-on to unlimited hay.

How much can I feed them?

Offer a small handful of leaves or a few flowers occasionally, not daily heaping piles. If stool softens, stop and return to hay-only until digestion normalizes.
