Often Mistaken For

Is Jasmine item toxic?

Many jasmine-named house and landscape plants are unsafe; true Jasminum may be less risky, but look-alikes (for example Carolina jessamine) are dangerous. Treat all as off-limits for rabbits, guinea pigs, and chinchillas.

Should I feed my pet Jasmine?

No. Do not offer jasmine vines or flowers to rabbits, guinea pigs, or chinchillas—the ID mix-ups are not worth the risk.

How much can I feed them?

Do not feed as a treat or browse. If your pet ate jasmine or a jasmine-named plant, contact your veterinarian or a pet poison hotline.
