Is Jicama item toxic?

Jicama seeds, stems, leaves, and peel contain rotenone-related compounds and are unsafe for rabbits, guinea pigs, and chinchillas. The root is also a poor match for hindgut fermenters and can cause digestive upset.

Should I feed my pet Jicama?

No. Do not feed jicama plant parts or root to rabbits, guinea pigs, or chinchillas.

How much can I feed them?

Do not offer jicama. If your pet ate any part of the plant, contact your veterinarian.
