Marijuana is a psychoactive drug used primarily for recreational and medicinal purposes. Marijuana plants grow long, deeply lobed leaves and flowers or buds with clusters of trichomes and a sticky resin on them.

Is Marijuana item toxic?

Yes. Cannabis is not an appropriate food for rabbits, guinea pigs, or chinchillas. THC and other cannabinoids can cause sedation, wobbliness, low blood pressure, urinary issues, and other serious signs. Smoke, concentrates, and edibles are especially risky.

Should I feed my pet Marijuana?

No. Do not feed marijuana (cannabis) plant material, extracts, or human cannabis products to rabbits, guinea pigs, or chinchillas.

How much can I feed them?

Do not offer as food or forage. If your pet ate cannabis, contact your veterinarian or a pet poison hotline right away.
