Is Milkweed item toxic?

Yes. Milkweeds contain latex and cardioactive compounds that can poison rabbits, guinea pigs, and chinchillas, causing mouth burns, choking, and severe GI signs.

Should I feed my pet Milkweed?

No. Do not feed milkweed leaves, flowers, or sap to rabbits, guinea pigs, or chinchillas.

How much can I feed them?

Do not offer as forage. If your pet chewed milkweed or got sap in the mouth, contact your veterinarian or a pet poison hotline.
