Bell peppers, or sweet peppers, are food items used in various ways for eating. These peppers are native to Mexico, Central America, and South America however have been cultivated throughout the world. Bell peppers vary colors mostly in red, orange, yellow, and green, but have been grown in purple and white, too. Bell peppers usually have three or four lobes on the bottom, distinguishing the "female" and "male" apart, however this is not a proven theory. These peppers also do not contain any capsaicin, therefore scoring a zero on the scoville index.

For Your Pet: Bell peppers are a free food for your small pet to enjoy, however should not replace any part of their daily hay.

Warning: Do not overfeed your pet bell peppers as it may cause upset stomach.
