Plums are stone fruit that are a food item in various ways. They come in a variety of colors however the most recognized are the dark red or purple plums with a white waxy coating on the outside.

Is Plums item toxic?
No for flesh—but plum pits, leaves, and stems contain cyanogenic compounds and must never be fed. Too much fruit causes GI upset.
Should I feed my pet Plums?
Sometimes. Small pieces of pit-free plum flesh can be an occasional treat when portions fit your veterinarian's diet plan.
How much can I feed them?
