Also known as slender brake or sword brake fern, the silver lace fern plant is a species found in primarily in Asia and the Pacific. This plant looks much like other ferns but a distiguishing feature is the bright white base at the end of each leaf, making the branch of leaves have a stripe.

For Your Pet: Silver lace fern is poisonous to small pets including rabbits, guinea pigs, and chinchillas. Prolonged exposure to this plant may cause skin inflammation and irritation, and gastrointestinal issues can show up after ingestion.
