Salak, or snake palm tree, is a palm tree that bears a unique fruit and is native to Indonesia. This palm can get up to twenty feet tall with several leaflets and the fruit grows in clusters with a brown scaly skin with three lobes of edible pulp.

For Your Pet: Although there is not much information about potential symptoms when rabbits ingest any part of a snake palm tree, we do not recommend you feed these to your pet. Snake palm trees, or salak, contains amounts of tannin and saponin which can cause serious illness.

Warning: Do not feed your pet any part of the Snake Palm tree as it can cause serious illness.
