Timothy Hay
Phleum pratense
Guideline: Free Feed
Type: Outdoor Plants
How much can I feed them?
Timothy Hay, like all grass hays, should be roughly 80% of your rabbit, guinea pig, or chinchilla's diet. For hamsters, rats, mice, or gerbils, Timothy hay can be made available in small quantities or as nesting material.
For Your Pet: Timothy hay is something that you can put out in abundance for your pet, letting your rabbit graze on whenever and how often they want. It holds a lot of fiber and helps with your pet's digestive system. It also helps in cleaning and wearing down their "cheek teeth" that grows in the back of their mouths.
Warning: Let your rabbit, guinea pig, or chinchilla eat as much Timothy Hay as possible!
