Walnuts are encapsulated by a fleshy green exterior that, inside, holds the hard shell and the waxy nut. When cracked open, you will see the edible nut meat which has either a light tan or brown coloring to it. The edible meat of the walnut weirdly resembles a brain when it's whole, however most people chop or dice these to add to delicious dishes and desserts.

Is Walnuts item toxic?
Yes. Walnuts are high in fat and difficult to digest; they can trigger serious gastrointestinal pain or obstruction in rabbits, guinea pigs, and chinchillas.
