Often Mistaken For

Is Wood item toxic?

Untreated wood from unknown tree species can splinter or carry pesticides. Pet-safe apple or willow chews sold for small animals are different from random yard lumber.

Should I feed my pet Wood?

Sometimes—for chewing, not as a food. Safe species (apple, willow, aspen) chew toys help wear teeth; random wood scraps are not worth the risk.

How much can I feed them?

Offer only store-bought or verified safe chew sticks sized for small pet mouths. Remove pieces that splinter, and never give painted, stained, or chemically treated wood.
