Our All Natural Pure Timothy Pellets can help keep your pets healthy and well-nourished. Young rabbits from 7 weeks to 7 months old can be fed unlimited amounts of Alfalfa Pellets while they grow. After 7 months they should be transitioned off of Alfalfa Pellets as a main source of food and on to a diet of 80% hay. These All Natural Pure Timothy Pellets can be used to supplement Hay or as an every day healthy treat.
These feeding suggestions are general and should be adjusted for your small animal based on size, age, and general health, please consult your vet for specific recommendations. The following daily recommendations are for a single animal. Only feed the animal what it will consume in one day, discarding any uneaten pellets before the next feeding. Always provide plenty of fresh water.
Alfalfa Pellets are perfect for rabbits younger than 7 months, guinea pigs younger than 6 months, and chinchillas younger than a year. After 1 year of age normal weight, healthy rabbits should be eating only Pure Timothy pellets and Unlimited Grass Hay as their primary food source.
3 – 4 weeks: Mother’s Milk, nibbles of Alfalfa Hay and Pellets
4 – 7 weeks: Mother’s Milk, access to Alfalfa Hay and Pellets
7 weeks – 7 months: Unlimited Pellets and Alfalfa Hay
7 months - 1 year: do not exceed ½ Cup Pure Timothy pellets for every 6 lbs. of body weight, if they are still in need up gaining weight do not exceed ½ Cup Pure Timothy pellets for every 6 lbs. of body weight
1 year and Older: do not exceed ½ Cup Pure Timothy pellets for every 6 lbs. of body weight, transition your pet completely off of the Alfalfa Pellets, feed unlimited Hay.
For mature adult rabbits, guinea pigs, and chinchillas Alfalfa Pellets can make a great treat in addition to their daily source of hay and Timothy Pellets.

You’ll want to give them their required Vitamin C in the form of supplement tablets, drops, or certain vegetables to ensure they stay healthy.
